The BC-350 is an extremely low-profile scale, measuring just over a half inch thick (0.6 in.) and is very lightweight at 3.3 pounds. With an industry best 50 gram (0.1 lb) resolution, consumers are assured the highest level of accuracy yet available in a consumer scale.
All measurements are calculated by using the bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) method. BIA calculates a more accurate body composition by sending a low-level, safe electrical signal through the body. Based on the level of resistance and the user's height, weight, and gender, the measurements are taken safely, accurately, and conveniently in the home.
The BC-350 has a four person memory and a weight capacity of 330 pounds. All Tanita scales have been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
