Tanita's PW-630U wheelchair scale is designed with the patient's needs in mind. The ultra-low platform makes it easy for health care providers and patients to get on and off the scale and remain stable, without having to lift their wheelchair device. The durable, yet portable unit is equipped with wheels, allowing users to bring the scale wherever elderly or wheelchair-bound patients require. Other features include body mass index, an integrated thermal printer with tare function, memory, recall and an RS-232 output so data can be captured electronically. It is built with Tanita standards, guaranteeing long lasting performance even in the most demanding environments. "The accessibility of the PW-630U is one of the best features of the new scale," said Beth Mackey, Director of Marketing, Tanita Corporation of America. "We replaced our 4801 model with a lighter, lower platform and a more user-friendly display to give patients and health care providers an all-around easier experience." The PW-630U is powered by AC adapter and has a 660 lb. weight capacity with a 0.2 lb. graduation for accurate readings. All readings are on a large, easy-to-read 2.2" x 2.7" 2-line LCD display attached by a 9 ½-foot flexible cord, allowing it to be set on a desk or mounted onto an optional display stand. | |
